Fossil fuels drive the climate crisis, and the U.S. is the #1 oil and gas producer in the world. Wildfires, flooding, and heat – we know it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why we are building the people power to make big changes.
Despite President Biden’s climate promises, he is a fossil fuel hypocrite. While he ran his presidential campaign paying lip service to the growing number of climate conscious voters, Biden has rubber-stamped one new oil and gas project after another. He is doing exactly the opposite of what is needed for a livable future.
But together, we can make a change. This week thousands are taking action in their communities to demand Biden end the era of fossil fuels, now we are taking the next step.
President Biden has the executive authority to stop approving fossil fuel projects right now and accelerate a just transition to clean energy–without Congress. It’s up to us to ensure that Biden is a climate leader, and not a climate villain. That’s why we’re organizing the March to End Fossil Fuels – a massive demonstration in New York City this September coinciding with the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit. We’ll demand President Biden lead the way off fossil fuels once and for all.
Join us as we launch this action with a huge virtual event on Thursday, June 15th. We’ll be joined by actress and climate activist Jane Fonda, and will share more details and ways to get involved.
